Dutch Shuffleboard

"Have you ever played Dutch Shuffleboard, or as it’s also known Sjoelen or Sjoelbak?  Sure, we all have! As a young boy growing up in Utrecht I couldn’t wait for Koninginnedag and the local Sjoelen tournament that went with its celebration. Though I never won such a tournament, the camaraderie and team spirit of the day erased all the pain of being the loser.  I can’t wait to introduce my own kids to this one of a kind parlor game, and maybe finally win the coveted  Trofee Voor Een Harige Borst! " - Mike

This game is easy to learn, easy to play and certainly easy to love.  Basically, you slide the disks down the board and try to get them through the arches to score points.  You can find more detailed rules here.   The game is easy enough for kids, but challenging enough for adults.  Keep it under a bed, in a closet, on the gameroom table, or in the pocket of a very large pair of pants... and pull it out for all those fierce intergenerational tournaments.  Teach your kids (or your grandkids) to play, and they will teach theirs.

The game board is 80" long and 15.5" wide.  It is made of oak and oak plywood and finished with Danish oil.  The game comes with 30 maple disks.

This game is not currently in stock. Please contact Mike if you'd like to ask him to make one for you.
