The process begins when you contact me with your idea or request. From there, I will collect as much information from you as I can about what you're looking for: the type of wood and finish you want to use, the style you like, the size you need, etc. Other smaller details will get worked out through the process.
If you're close to Syracuse, I may suggest an in-person meeting, but it's not necessary.
Pictures of what you're looking for are helpful but not required. The hardest part of the entire process is getting what's in your head onto my sketchpad, so visuals can be helpful.
We will discuss options for shipping or delivery and the costs involved.
Once I've collected enough information, I will come up with a preliminary design and estimate.
Then, with your input and my experience, we will come up with a final design.
When we have a design and estimate that we can both agree on, we will move on to the next stage of the process.
Stage Two: Construction
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the estimate is required before I begin construction of your project.
During the construction stage, some finer details may still need to be worked out, so we will remain in contact with each other.
I will send pictures and updates throughout the construction process so that you can stay fully abreast of my progress.
As it gets close to being finished, we will work out a plan for delivery or pick-up if applicable.
Final payment is required upon delivery or before shipment.
